UBS is to set up a confidential hotline for its staff in response to claims it seriously mishandled a rape allegation brought against the Swiss bank by a female former graduate trainee.
The move is one of a number of measures the bank says it is taking after the woman, who was employed as part of UBS’s graduate scheme, wrote to the head of the group’s investment bank in July outlining a litany of failures she says the company made during the bank's six-month investigation of her rape claim.
