UBS has been voted the best house for European equity research for the seventh year in a row in the Thomson Extel industry survey, despite the loss of the head of its business just three months ago.

UBS beat Citi Investment Research and Merrill Lynch to retain pole position for European equity and equity-linked research, as the top three banks for research remained unchanged for the third year in a row.
