UBS has strengthened its Americas equity capital markets business with a trio of hires including a senior Bank of America Merrill Lynch banker, in a bid to win more business and boost its standing in the US.
The Swiss bank has recruited Frank Maturo as vice chairman of ECM in the Americas from Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he held a similar role, according to an internal memo sent to staff on Thursday by Ros Stephenson, UBS's global chairman of corporate client solutions and head of the business in the Americas.
