UBS Warburg has revealed a key role on a £165m (€239m) acquisition and a disposal mandate potentially worth over £2bn for the same client on the same day.

The Swiss bank is sole financial adviser to Scottish & Newcastle, the UK brewer, on its bid for HP Bulmer, the maker of Strongbow cider.
