The UK’s auditing watchdog has appointed a new director of investor and stakeholder engagement, as the regulator gears up to take on more powers to oversee the accounting sector.

In her new role at the Financial Reporting Council, Kate O’Neill will be in charge of communicating the work of the regulator to key stakeholders, as well as leading the watchdog’s public affair outreach.
