Oxford Biomedica, a UK biotechnology company, has raised £35.5m (€57.8m) in the equity market just a week after other biotech firms postponed or significantly scaled back their offers.

NM Rothschild, the investment bank, and Beeson Gregory, the UK broker, underwrote Oxford's placing and open offer with UK and European investors of 64.5 million shares at 55p each.
