Bridgewell Securities and Collins Stewart, the UK brokers, have benefited from Dutch financial group ING's strategy to focus on European medium and large stocks by picking up two of ING's small-cap clients.

The Belhaven Group, the Scottish brewer, has appointed Collins Stewart as its new corporate broker in ING's stead. Belhaven said the move followed "the rationalisation of ING's involvement in equity markets in London".
