UK economy contracted by 2.6% in November

The decrease came as England was placed back under a second lockdown

The UK economy contracted by 2.6% in November 2020, the month England was plunged back into a second nationwide lockdown.

The fall in GDP followed six consecutive months of increases, according to the Office of National Statistics, although the economy was still smaller than its pre-pandemic size.
