UK extends lockdown for at least three weeks

Data suggests that the virus may have peaked, but experts say it's too early to ease restrictions

The British government has extended its lockdown for at least the next three weeks.

Speaking at the government's daily press briefing today, foreign secretary Dominic Raab, who is filling in for prime minister Boris Johnson as he recovers from Covid-19, said that any change to our social distancing measures now would risk a significant increase in the spread of the virus.
