Funding for the UK’s standout fintech sector dropped 23% in 2020, despite the country’s wider tech industry raking in a record $15bn.

The drop to $4.5bn in fintech venture capital investment, down from a 2019 record of nearly $6bn, came despite Revolut raising the UK’s largest round of the year at $580m according to Tech Nation’s latest annual report.
