President Donald Trump’s controversial ban on entry to the US for travelers from seven Muslim-majority countries has been widely condemned by the UK financial technology sector.

The “impact of this decision is deeply worrying,” said Taavet Hinrikus, the chief executive and co-founder of London-based TransferWise, who defended Sally Yates, the US Attorney General who was sacked by Trump for questioning the legality of the ban, via Twitter on January 31.
