UK fund boards exposed for poor gender diversity

Women make up just 17% of UK mutual fund boards, falling short of wider female representation targets that aim to have them in at least 30% of FTSE-100 boardroom roles by 2020.

Shiv Taneja, founder of specialist consultancy UK Fund Boards, conducted research into more than 110 fund boards and uncovered a lack of diversity, as well as low levels of independence among directors.
