The UK's fund management trade body has urged European policymakers to tread with caution over any attempts to overhaul existing rules that could potentially restrict London-based portfolio managers from overseeing EU-based funds.

Asset managers in the City have been growing increasingly anxious since the European Commission launched a public consultation in October 2020, which asked if so-called delegation rules used by fund managers outside of the EU needed to be overhauled.
