UK Government accused of ignoring NAPF on pension fund code

The National Association of Pension Funds and Fund Managers Association have voiced concern about UK Government proposals for pension fund trustees to request data concerning such issues as transaction costs and broker entertainment from their investment managers.

Where trustees do not feel they are sufficiently informed on such issues, the Government, in its code of best practice for the UK pension fund industry, says trustees should outsource decision making to professional third parties.
