UK investment trusts face greater scrutiny

Investment trusts in the UK should be more closely regulated to avoid any further scandals that have blighted the industry, a government committee has warned.

A House of Commons Treasury Committee report has found that the Financial Services Authority (FSA), the UK's financial services regulator, failed to act quickly enough to avert the current crisis among split capital investment trusts.
