UK’s IPO carnival continues with insurer float

The value of domestic companies listing in the UK has hit a post-crisis high over the year-to-date

The value of domestic companies listing in the UK has hit a post-crisis high over the year-to-date, with two private equity firms this week adding to the momentum that has been building in the country’s equity markets.

The London Stock Exchange has played host to nine IPOs from UK companies worth $4.5bn so far in 2013, according to Dealogic. This is the highest year-to-date figure for UK companies listing on their home market since 2007. There have been no listings from foreign companies in London so far this year.
