London’s largest hedge funds are set to be quizzed on their plans to diversify their workforce, as the chair of a parliamentary group covering the alternative investments sector mulls plans to compel funds to hire more women and ethnic minorities.

Taiwo Owatemi, a Labour MP, told Financial News that she aims to launch a diversity charter for the alternative investments sector “in the new year”.
