UK local authority fund turns to specialist fund managers

The £1.2bn (€1.8bn) pension fund of Norfolk County Council in the UK is seeking specialist active UK equity managers for up to £200m of its assets.

The move comes as increasing numbers of local authorities wake up to the benefits of specialist fund managers. Norfolk will invite up to 15 firms to tender offers, with a deadline set for the end of January 2003.
