UK local authority pension fund diversifies into private equity

The £340m (€547.3m) London Borough of Brent pension scheme has shifted £5m of its assets into private equity, through an investment in a UK government underwritten fund.

The pension fund of the UK local authority is shifting £5m to the Capital Fund, a regional fund that is underwritten by the UK Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
