UK outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease hits junk bonds

The junk bond market became the latest victim of the UK outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease when horse racing was cancelled Wednesday.

Bonds of William Hill and Coral, two UK betting chains, have fallen in price in the face of expected revenue losses after racing authorities stopped all horse racing in the UK for at least seven days.
