The property peer-to-peer platform LendInvest has secured a £40 million credit line from a global bank – a further indication of the growing input of institutions in the UK's P2P sector.

LendInvest said in a statement on April 28 that it would use the money from Macquarie to make new loans. The credit line, which could be increased over time, bringing the total raised by the startup from institutions to over £230 million.
