The UK government has partnered with vaccine manufacturer CureVac to develop new vaccines should they be needed, to tackle emerging variants of Covid-19.

In a 5 February statement, the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy said it will also set up an expert advisory group to identify variants that may require new vaccines.
