UK pension fund drops Merrill Lynch as investment manager

The London Borough of Redbridge's £240m (€376m) pension fund has replaced both its investment manager and its investment consultant following a best value review.

The fund replaced Merrill Lynch Investment Management with Capital International, which will manage a £120m balanced mandate. Schroder Investment Management, which was also placed under review, was re-appointed and will continue to run its £120m balanced brief.
