The UK financial watchdog has begun an advanced investigation into the alleged rape of a former female graduate at UBS, who has accused the Swiss bank of seriously mishandling her claims of sexual assault.

Financial Newsreported in August that the Financial Conduct Authority had begun a preliminary probe into the bank’s handling of the woman’s allegations, but the regulator has now demanded greater action from UBS.
