UK regulators publish climate change disclosure guide for finance firms

The FCA and the PRA consider the banking sector to be 'more advanced' than insurers and asset managers

Detailed recommendations and suggestions of metrics to improve climate risk disclosure for banks, asset managers and insurers have been released by the Financial Conduct Authority and the Bank of England.

The 29 June publication of the Climate Financial Risk Forum guide is part of a push by UK regulators to boost transparency in the fight against climate change. Members of the forum include BNP Paribas, HSBC, JPMorgan, Aviva, Lloyd’s of London, Blackrock and Schroders.
