The UK government has called on the European Union to allow City fund managers to operate in the bloc after Brexit without making costly changes to their business models.

Suella Fernandes, the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department for Exiting the EU, said on Wednesday that the government would fight efforts to restrict UK fund managers' ability to delegate key investment decisions to staff based outside the bloc after Brexit.
