Segars in pole position to chair European pensions body

NAPF chief executive will remain in post at UK pension trade association, but add European lobbying duties to her schedule

Joanne Segars, chief executive of the UK's National Association of Pension Funds, looks set to take over as chairman of the European Federation of Retirement Provision, the EU-level pensions trade body.

Segars is in pole position to take over from Patrick Burke as the EFRP's national member organisations prepare to meet next Monday in Dublin to elect his successor, according to a report in trade magazine aiCIO, quoting a source close to the organisation.
