UK set to move to T+1 in line with EU and Switzerland

A government-appointed taskforce recommended that the UK aligns with the EU and Switzerland by shortening trade settlement times from October 2027.

The Accelerated Settlement Taskforce proposed a date of 11 October 2027 for the UK to move to next-day settlement of securities, known as T+1.
