The UK should support US President Joe Biden’s plan for a global minimum corporation tax regime to help prevent multinational companies cutting their tax bills by shifting money between countries, a think-tank has said.

The IPPR’s Centre for Economic Justice has called on the government to back Biden’s tax plans at the upcoming G7 Summit, which is being held in Cornwall on 11-13 June and is being chaired by the UK.
