UK should move to T+1 by 2027, taskforce says

The UK should move to T+1 settlement for equities trading by the end of 2027, a top taskforce has said.

A technical group should be set up "immediately" to begin work on shortening the settlement cycle from two days to one, according to the UK Accelerated Settlement Taskforce, in order to hit T+1 within the next three years.
