The UK should agree a "mutual market access" deal that mirrors passporting in its scope so that the City can continue to access the EU market after Brexit, according to an industry lobby group.
The recommendations are put forward in a paper entitled The EU's Third Country Regimes and Alternatives to Passporting, published on January 23 and written by the International Regulatory Strategy Group, a working group affiliated to industry body TheCityUK and The City of London Corporation, and law firm Hogan Lovells.
