The UK has signed a financial services deal with Switzerland as it continues to fight to hold onto its crown after Brexit put up barriers to cross-border business.

Chancellor Jeremy Hunt signed the Berne Financial Services Agreement on 21 December. So-called equivalence between both countries' regulatory regimes will ensure asset managers, bankers and financial advisers can trade between the two without securing permissions in each jurisdiction.
