The UK government will conduct a review into the potential role of Covid-status certification in helping venues reopen safely as part of its lockdown lifting roadmap.
"The third review will consider the potential role of Covid-status certification in helping venues to open safely but mindful of the many concerns surrounding exclusion, discrimination and privacy," said Prime Minister Boris Johnson in the House of Commons on 22 February. The certificates would either be linked to proof of a negative Covid test or proof of vaccination.
