UK unions campaign for transparency

Some of the UK’s largest trade unions have launched a campaign calling for private equity firms to provide more information to workers in portfolio companies.

Private sector unions Unite and GMB as well as the Trades Union Congress and John Heppell, a Labour MP, are attempting to ensure private equity firms are subject to the Transfer of Undertakings and Protection of Employment Bill, which will make companies consult with workers on future plans.
