UK watchdog sets new regulations on with-profits funds

The Financial Services Authority (FSA) is to enhance transparency and governance on controversial with-profits funds.

Howard Davies, chairman of the FSA, said that policyholders need to know how their money will be invested, the risks associated with that investment and the likely benefits, both guaranteed and discretionary, before they buy these funds.
