Kenya-born Vincent Orlando has become chief executive of investment boutique Guardian Managers (UK), which ferrets out real estate and fixed income opportunities for investors.

Orlando is joining from Marcol, a property-driven private equity firm, with £3bn under management, for which he used to manage opportunities in Continental Europe. Prior to Marcol he worked at UBS Global Asset Management, where he was an assistant portfolio manager.
