Travellers from the UK will use so-called Covid passports to show they have been vaccinated or have tested negative for the virus before travelling abroad, transport secretary Grant Shapps confirmed.

Shapps said an NHS app would be used for travellers to be able to show their vaccine status and evidence of recent negative Covid-19 tests.
