Ukraine claims set to cost Lloyd’s of London £1.1bn

Insurance market set to take significant loss amid conflict in eastern Europe

Lloyd's of London, the UK insurance and reinsurance market, has set aside £1.1bn, equivalent to $1.26bn, for claims related to the conflict in Ukraine, it said 8 September.

The figure is net of reinsurance and covers marine, cargo and aviation claims, said Lloyd's, a marketplace of insurance syndicates.
