The UK's Pensions Management Institute (PMI) and accountants KPMG have lent their voices to calls to scrap the minimum funding requirement (MFR).
David Bright, president at PMI, said: "The MFR is widely discredited. It is misleading scheme members and distorting investment markets. Don't tinker with it - scrap it."
