The National Employment Savings Trust, the UK's £1.3 billion public pension plan, has recruited a deputy to chief investment officer Mark Fawcett, expanding its in-house investment team as its assets grow.

John St Hill, formerly a senior portfolio manager in equities and fixed-income at the £23 billion Pension Protection Fund, departed the lifeboat fund in October. He started work at Nest on January 9, the company said in a statement.
