As results flow in from across the US in the 2020 presidential election, markets are poised to react to any decisive movements towards either a Democratic or Republican victory.

Ahead of the first wave of results that night, equities had bounced with the Dow Jones Industrial Average rising more than 550 points on Election Day. Other US indices also ended the day in the green, while gold and oil posted gains of between 1% and 2.5% as evening fell in London.
