Revolut, the digital banking start-up fighting to improve its image following a run of media criticism, has turned to a former political adviser as its first head of public affairs.

The group appointed Tommy Tudehope in April as part of a continued revamp of its communications team and tasked him with lobbying work in the UK, where it is headquartered.
