Unichem completes share sale ahead of FTSE 100 entry

Alliance Unichem, the UK medical products distributor, which is about to join the FTSE 100, raised £88.1m (€140.5m) in an accelerated bookbuild.

The FTSE committee said on Wednesday that Alliance is joining London's blue chip index at the close of trade on September 20 following the latest quarterly composition review. Three companies including British Airways and EMI, the music group, were relegated.
