MTS France, the electronic exchange for French government and quasi-government bonds, has added UniCredit Banca Mobiliare (UBM) as a market maker, making it the first Italian institution to join the platform.

UBM, the investment banking arm of UniCredito Italiano, is currently a part of the MTS fold as a primary dealer in other European government markets including Germany and Portugal. It is a known player in the French market and was last year nominated as a French market specialist by Agence France Trésor, the French government debt management agency.
