ROME — UniCredit Chief Executive Andrea Orcel is set to move away from an era of restructuring at the Italian bank and tell shareholders how he plans to expand the business and reward them more, as part of a new multiyear strategic plan to be unveiled on 9 December.
The veteran investment banker, who took over Italy’s second-largest bank in April, is expected to focus on increasing revenue and profit and on distributing some of the bank’s excess capital in share buybacks or dividends.
