Milan-based UniCredit has appointed three co-heads of investment banking and created the new role of head of emerging Europe investment banking, a week after buying debt advisory business NewSmith Capital Partners.

The Italian investment bank has named Andreas Bohn, Bernhard Brinker and Piergiorgio Peluso as the three co-heads of investment banking at UniCredit's markets & investment banking division, with immediate effect.
