UniCredit hires ex-UBS dealmaker Sam Kendall in senior banker role

UniCredit has hired a former UBS dealmaker for its investment bank, reuniting its chief executive Andrea Orcel will a key former lieutenant in a unit the Italian bank is looking to grow.

Sam Kendall has joined the Italian lender as head of all industry coverage, advisory, public and private equity and debt capital markets, according to an internal memo seen by Financial News. The wide-ranging role will help "accelerate the growth in these business areas" the memo from UniCredit's head of corporate and investment banking, Richard Burton, said.
