Geneva-based asset manager Unigestion has appointed a new head of hedge funds from rival Man Group, a role that its chief executive has been looking after since the previous head left more than a year ago.

Philippe Gougenheim will join on May 1 from rival manager Man Group, where he was a senior portfolio manager in its fund of funds division.
