Unilever appoints UK investments chief

Consumer-goods giant Unilever has appointed a chief investment officer for its UK pension plan, FN has learned.

Jayne Atkinson will join the fund at the end of the month, a source close to Unilever confirmed. She will take charge of investments for a pension plan worth £6.5 billion at the end of March 2016, according to its latest accounts, making it one of the larger corporate plans in the country.
