One of Goldman Sachs' star private bankers on the Russian desk has resigned for a position at a rival, according to sources close to the bank.

Ivan Gavanski is believed to be one of the biggest producers for Goldman Sachs, said sources. An executive director, Gavanski has been with Goldman Sachs since January 2006.
